BarStaff · AxleIQ LLC
Privacy Policy
Effective September 5, 2026
BarStaff is operated by AxleIQ LLC. This policy explains the information BarStaff uses to provide the service and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
When you create or join a BarStaff workspace, we may store your name, email address, bar or venue name, city, state, venue type, role, account identifiers, setup-help preference, schedule information (including source files uploaded for setup and private drafts prepared for manager review), availability information, time-off and shift requests, staff notes, events, stock-status updates, and any venue logo a manager uploads.
Managers may optionally enter hourly wage information for scheduling estimates and exports. BarStaff does not require staff to enter banking or payroll-account information.
Billing
Subscription checkout and billing are handled by Stripe. BarStaff receives billing status and customer/subscription identifiers needed to manage access, but does not store full payment-card numbers.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, keep each bar workspace separated, provide scheduling and operational features, deliver requested notifications when enabled, send account and onboarding messages, measure whether setup is complete, process subscriptions, troubleshoot the service, prevent abuse, and support customers.
Website measurement
To understand whether the public site and signup flow are useful, BarStaff records a random browser session identifier, the first public page visited, referring website host, campaign parameters included in the URL, and limited events such as viewing the demo, starting signup, requesting first-schedule help, and completing signup.
BarStaff does not send staff names, schedules, wages, notes, or other workspace content to advertising analytics. Public-site measurement is best-effort and is not required to use the service.
Service providers
BarStaff uses service providers including Google Firebase for authentication, hosting, database, storage and cloud functions, Resend for account and onboarding email delivery, and Stripe for subscription billing. Those providers process information as needed to operate their services.
When a manager optionally chooses Create private draft for an uploaded schedule photo or PDF, BarStaff sends that source file to the Google Gemini API to extract proposed shift information. The result remains a private draft until the manager reviews and explicitly publishes it.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Workspace information is shared with other authorized members of the same bar only as needed for the feature involved. For example, staff can see the schedule while wage information is restricted to managers.
Notifications and device data
If you choose to enable browser push notifications, BarStaff may store a device notification token so requested alerts can reach that device. You can disable notification permission in your browser or device settings.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and workspace information while it is needed to provide BarStaff and for reasonable business, security and legal purposes. To request access, correction or deletion of your account information, contact support@getbarstaff.com.
Security
We use access controls and tenant-level permissions designed to limit workspace data to authorized users. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a unique password and protect your account credentials.
Children
BarStaff is a workplace operations service and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as BarStaff changes. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are posted. Questions can be sent to hello@getbarstaff.com.
