We build the first week
We enter the shifts, roles and times into a private BarStaff draft.
You check it
Nothing goes live until the schedule looks right to you.
Your schedule shouldn’t live in six group texts.
Put the week where everyone can find it. When something changes, the same crew sees the same answer.
Build the week, leave a shift open, or assign it to someone on the crew. Staff can see their nights, claim open coverage and request coverage without a group-text chain.
Post one-time or weekly events with the time, a staff-facing note and a prep/staffing note. Tonight and This Week surface the event automatically so the crew knows what kind of night is coming.
Keep a tiny shared watch-list for the things that matter during service. Staff can mark something running low or out; when it's restocked, one tap clears the alert for everyone.
Staff can set their normal week, request time off, and ask out of a scheduled shift. Managers see the requests in the same place they build the schedule and can approve or deny them fast.
Every staff member and manager at your bar shares one chat channel. Post a heads-up, ask a quick question, or settle something before the shift starts, and everyone gets a notification the moment a new message lands.
It should feel like your staff app — not ours.
Upload your logo. Staff see the bar they work for—not a generic corporate dashboard.
Built for the owner who also pours drinks, fixes the cooler and writes next week’s schedule.
Change it fast
Open shifts, low stock and last-minute changes take seconds—not training.
Use your real roles
Bartender, barback, server, kitchen, security, manager—or whatever you call the job.
Put the night in context
Karaoke, bands, trivia and private parties stay beside the schedule.
Skip the corporate software

Straight answers.
Who is BarStaff actually for?
Independent bars, taverns, pubs, taprooms and small neighborhood restaurants that need staff coordination without buying a giant restaurant-management system.
Does everyone need to download an app?
No. BarStaff runs on the web. Staff can open it from a link and optionally add it to their phone’s home screen so it behaves like an installed app.
Can we use our own bar logo?
Yes. Your venue name and uploaded logo are front and center inside the staff experience.
Can managers schedule more than bartenders?
Yes. BarStaff includes common roles like bartender, barback, server, kitchen, security and manager, plus custom roles for your operation.
Can you build our first schedule for us?
Yes. Start your bar, then upload a photo, screenshot, PDF, CSV, or spreadsheet from the Schedule page. We’ll build the first week free as a private draft. You review every shift and decide when it goes live.
Do I have to replace my POS?
No. BarStaff is intentionally not a POS. It sits beside the tools you already use and handles the staff side of tonight.
What does 86’d mean?
It’s common bar and restaurant shorthand for an item that is unavailable or out. BarStaff keeps the familiar term as a secondary cue, but the main actions use plain language like Running low, Out and Back in stock.
What if we need something BarStaff doesn’t do yet?
Tell us. BarStaff is being built around real independent-bar needs, not an enterprise feature checklist. If something would make your nights easier, we want to hear it.
